rear seat could have came out in about 5 minutes with the correct tools, but your way is way cooler.

did you tell onstar that your keys were in the trunk?

Yes, but my trunk was full of other stuff and the keys were at the furthest point.

As Haro says, the terminals are #30 & #87. These are labelled on both the side of the relay, and the bottom. Just check the orientation to short the correct two cavities. If you short the two which are for the relay coil, you'll end up shorting the RIM output to +12V (with potentially unpredictable results).
