Script blocker, no, not yet. Tell me more. lol

I AM running adblock plus though. I don't see the ads at the top, nor do I see the ADs which are supposedly in the "BC System" posts. I had a discussion with Wren about this, and he said that BC still gets a hit on the ads, so I am not depriving Jeff of his well deserved pennies. And I am dead serious about this, I know my hits probably only come out to a few dollars a year, but he deserves them for sure. Thanks for everything Jeff.

I understand why he has the ads on here and his view on why not to accept donations, but honestly I would much rather donate to the site then have the ads there. They don't need to add "donating member" or anything like that under the user IMO. I would just much rather donate $ than have the ads there, just my $.02 though.

Thanks for the comments guys, espcecially yours, Shawn. The Admins dig at Jeff about this. Alot of people WANT to help with this.

Ultimately, our esteemed site owner is a giver. Never a taker, or someone who will ask for help or accept it. And this site is more expensive to run than most of you may ever know. Jeff has premium equipment running here, and is actually paying for TWO servers. Our old 'retired' server was replaced in 2006, but retained as a fully capable backup. That'* performance and reliability for us and the Forum we all love. And Jeff knew in advance what the cost would be. That'* Jeff.

In the meantime, we continue to harass him. Time will tell. But if Jim, Don, and Myself can't convince him, the only thing that may work is violence.

Mini-meet anyone?

I noticed that they are coming more often now. Since they started appearing more often, about half of the ad "post" dont show up for me. The "BC System" part shows up, with no ads in the post part. This is only around half of the time. (IE 7, Norton IS, no ad blocker scripts)

When you have an ad blocker running, BC gets absolutely nothing. I'm not bitter; that'* just the way it works.

Yes, they are set to appear randomly on about 20% of pages, which is a 5% increase. I'm not sure why the ads aren't showing up when the "BC System" entry appears, given that you are not running ad blocking software. Perhaps IE7 does some sort of ad blocking?
