Default Accidental Deaths in the US

Be sure to read all of this. .

Doctors:
(A) The number of physicians in the U.*. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.*. Dept of Health Human Services.
------------------------------------------------------------

Now think about this and keep reading:

Guns:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.*. is 80,000,000. Yes, that'* 80 million.

(B) Accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 000188.

Statistics courtesy of FBI
-------------------------------------------------------------

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE
HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets
completely out of hand!!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------

Out of concern for the public at large.
I have withheld the statistics on lawyers! For fear the shock would cause people to
panic and seek medical attention.

I've seen that one before. Interesting numbers. You should see the statitstics in the DROP in violent crimes when each state passes a concealed carry law, too.

Based on this

Guns for everyone and doctors for no one

*Bill and I are never gonna see eye to eye on gun ownership, so he know I'm not flaming...FYI for the rest of you*

Well those are some cool stats, but i also think it'* important to notice that Docs work 40 or so hour a week, seeing many many people every day. I really doubt that your average gun owner is shooting this gun 40 hours per week. Most gun owners i think are like me. They shoot there guns some for fun. Always safely, but for the most part the guns are stored somewhere.

Excellent point. Time plays a huge factor in this.

People here rely too much on doctors. Whenever there is something wrong, they go straight to the doctor. (That of course benefits the doctors). Those Primary Care Physicians get all that money by just referring.

Going to the doctor should be the last resort. If there is something wrong with you, you have to know how to detect and handle it. Basic knowledge.

I bet some people are better at handling problems with their cars than handling problems with themselves.
