8 Fuel Economy Myths Debunked
occasionally my home page to my email has some things that I find interesting to read so I just thought I would share.

The only one I kind of disagree with is the A/C one...My car on the interstate with the A/C on usually gets 2-3 mpg worse than if I just have the fan blowing...so I think turning your A/C off does save fuel, whereas they say it doesn't really at interstate speeds (70+ mph)
Now if I don't run the A/C but instead put my windows all down, then yes I can agree with them that my mileage won't be any better..but if I want to squeeze every last MPG out of my car, then I'm going to be rolling down the road with windows up and sweating my nuts off with a hot fan blowing at me.
I'd rather run the A/C though..it'* too damn hot and humid here 8 months of the year to not have it running all the time.
