This thing with Mortehl has been kicked around so many times And locked that it'* really no use in discusion anymore. I feel for the guiys that lost money but given the time spent, and the public venting and ridicule. The parts and money arent going to materialize. What can be done and I have said this from the beginning...... People learn by Example. Mortehl should have been stripped of his membership here long ago. People have lost such for alot less action then this. He doesnt give a rats *** about people here, except I quess when he has a "lonely" period. If Administration (And I like each very much, but still going to stick my opinion in here) took a harder line of disipline when these things happen, (And it has happened here to many times for comfort) Maybe people wouldnt be so inclined to do it. Aquiring parts and sharing them with members is a great benefit for members and for people like Bill Boost and others a fun rewarding hobby. And people like Mort shouldnt be allowed to taint the practice. I understand the hopeful feeling people directly involved in his transactions have that some day the parts or money may come. But He has delivered very little other than continued empty promises and excuses. For the Good of the Club and the helpful practices of excellent members who do gather needed parts closure of this needs to happen. And buyers beware. Demand COD untill a member has a good track record.

At this time I only have faint hope of getting the pcm I paid him for. It is not so much the money, but if I would have known he wasn't going to send the part I would have purchased another one that came available but is no longer for sale. I know Canadian customs can cause delays, but if it was sent when he said, the pcm should have cleared customs long ago. I don't wish Mortehl any ill will, I'm just kind of disappointed. Life is to short for me to worry about this any more.

Sounds a lot like the problem I had a couple of years ago with SpeedyGuy....now there'* an oxymoron.
Persistence paid off. Bug the hell out of him until he caves. Find his phone number and call him. Keep the conversations friendly (bite your tongue) and always follow-up.
It took me 8 months to finally get that Lsd, but I had paid $800, so a lot more to lose.

Some guys just don't have the mental fortutude to retain long term memories......he is only Mortal.

I am a lot more careful with whom I deal with now.

I receive a lot of goods over the border into Canada and it generally takes about 6 weeks if the Customs papers are not accurate, 3 weeks if they are.
Even one day overnight Courier takes 10 business days to get to me.
