We've owned Fords all my life and they were the longest lasting vehicles we've owned yet. My dad'* '71 Torino 4-door saw a shop once in it'* life, to get bored .040 over and decked...My '71 Torino 500 Hardtop never did, and my '93 Crown Vic was pretty quick w/ a 281 V8...never saw a shop...His '70 F-150 never broke down...etc, etc. Now our '82 Caprice Classic was in and out of the shop and so was my '83 Bonnie...

I'm not for or against any makes, just the good ones in all of them, as the all have had bad ones, too...

I personally like the retro look, but not all cars have this of course, the new Mustang, Thunderbird, PT cruiser Mini to name a few and most look great to me. I would be in line to buy a retro 69 Camaro that'* for sure if done right. Time will pass on this trend though, and then designers will have to come out with something new again to get the attention of buyers. Unless it is retro 70'* Cadillac has a nice new 2 seater roadster that looks awesome, and the new CTS-V will be a big hit, especially with it'* LS6 V8.

The Marauder is too late to get on the big sports sedan that the Impalla SS'* left behind. Great attempt though, but it should have been 6 years earlier in it'* debut it may have been more popular, I have only seen 2 in the last year... Plus I think the GXP Bonne looks way better in my book.

The new Mustangs are totally redesigned from the ground up,.....they look fine,IMO,(the only Ford product I would ever consider buying,....and looking at and reading about the new GTO :? ,.....I'd buy the Mustang first),and will no doubt sell Very well,...probably the best V-8 motored bang-for-the-buck car out there(roughly $34000 for a 390HP */C'd Stang).
The Mercury Marauder IS ending production this year or next(slow sales),....another 'good idea' from Ford gone sour(along with the shot-lived,overpriced T-Bird)

I used to be a read die hard Ford Fan until way back when my mom have me a 92 taurus and it was broke down more and it ran. My dads 92 F150 went though 7, yes 7 302 engines, my step moms tempo got hit on the left side and the right mirror fell off. I think the older Fords are the only Fords that could really last. As for my dads 7 engines, 1st one started to blow raw oil out the exhaust, second one started to knock or something. Another one locked up. I think most of that was due to where he was getting the engines. I have test driven fords lately and I am not impressed with the quality. I think there seeming to be built more cheaply as the years go by.

That'* true. My mom had a '93 or '94 Taurus that was junk. Not sure what they were thinking there. But every make has a lemon. Ford Tempo, Chevy Cavalier, Pontiac Sunbird, Dodge Omni, etc. And every make has good cars. Ford Crown Vic or Lightening, Chevy Impala SS, Dodge Ram, Pontiac Bonneville... ...I just personally don't like stereo-typing...
