Just to get some perspective. When I first started driving in 1971, gas was .25 cents a gallon. There were even times when the gas stations that would have price wars and you could get it for .10 cents per gallon. You could fill your tank for just a few bucks. In fact when I was a kid, I thought you could only buy $2.00 worth of gas at a time. That is all my dad ever bought. And that was when the service station attendant pumped your gas while another man washed your windows and checked your oil and tire pressure.
Oh and they usually gave you a free drinking glass with pictures of antique cars on them for free if you bought 8 gallons or more, or green stamps that everyone collected. In fact my first electric razor was redeemed at the green stamp store for free!
And if I had to guess when it will hit $4.00....hmmmmm Christmas 2008!

Here'* a good one for ya.
Yesterday, our conservative minority gov't lowered the GST (federal goods and services tax) to 5% (down 2% since the Conseratives took over) great, right? Well, since the major cities *coughToronto* are not going to be receiving the windfall of the 1% drop, they plan on RAISING gas taxes!
Nice.
