Welcome to the BonnevilleForum Jason. Upstate NY has got to be one of the most mistaken/misspoken geographical terms ever. Down in NYC, it means the Catskills/ Binghamton area. A little further North it'* the Utica/Cooperstown area. Go a little further we have the hardy people that consider Watertown home. I guess the best thing of it is that "upstate" means you ain't from NYC. That seems to be a misconceiving anchor around your neck when you tell people out of state your from NY. They just can't picture it being anything but like NYC.
