Just bought a '90 Pontiac Bonneville LE
Hi! I've never used a fourm before I'm just looking for answers about the 1990 Bonneville I recently purchased... I obviously bought it used, but I got it from my uncle'* tow yard and it was kinda beat up. Only had 50,000 miles on it! But the horn doesn't work and I live in an area where you NEED a horn!! People drive like morons and they need to be honked at to pay attention!! I'm about to go to the store and get an air horn but I'm afraid it will get too hot and explode during the summer!! So if anyone can help me I would appreciate it greatly! I've searched the internet and don't want to take it to a shop to ask how to fix the horn if it'* simple hahaha SO PLEASE HELP ME!!

I looked, but I cannot even find the fuse for the horn... It just doesn't exist!! I'm so very confused!! I've looked in the owners manual, the fuse panel under the steering column, under the hood... and I think I found the horn, but I've never had problems with one before so I'm not 100% what it looks like! Hahahaha... Anyways, Its on the passenger side right by the battery, and there is one wire with a green plastic cover on it that isn't connected, I tried to see where it could possibly connect to but I couldn't find anything! How do I find info for this?

I'm not very familiar with that year, but there might be another fuse box under the glove box. As for the horn, it sounds like you found it. Kind of looks like a big snail I guess you could say. There might be one on both sides of the car. If no wire is hooked up to it, then that is likely the problem.

Welcome! I hope you'll enjoy using forums as much as I do. I once had a 93 Nissan Sentra whose horn started smoking when it was dead but I kept using it. That'* about as close as I got to catching a horn on fire. I don't mean to say it'* impossible, but I'm also kind of looking forward to a 1990 Bonneville air horn video. Please keep us updated!

Yes, there is one horn by the battery, and there should be another one in the same spot on the other side of the car too. I don't recall where the fuse is, but I would check by the driver feet, up under the dash.
