I've never owned a car that didn't have a V8 and my newest rig ever was an '89 f-150. I'm rather proud of that. I'm not proud that all of them also had broken AC and no cupholders.

Wow. Ok, so my '84 chevy blazer (I call it waldo because it'* red and white and doesn't stand out in a crowd) needs a carb rebuild but I'm not really qualified to do it, I messed up a holly really bad once so now I leave rebuilding to people who know what they're doing. Anyway I went to 3 different mechanics before I found one that rebuilds carbs. WTH!?! I know most cars made in the last ~25 years have EFI but I still thought there were enough old cars on the road to make rebuilding a carb a semi-common thing for a shop to do. Maybe there aren't as many people that apreciate old cars as I thought, which would explain why I could get a perfectly good '74 for less than the cost of most electronics.
