Hey I am the new guy from Indiana. This is my first bonneville. I just bought it monday. I kinda got taken on the deal. But am looking forward to learning about this car. I paid two grand for a 1998 bonneville ssei. I am a home mechanic. I checked everything when i bought it but the next day the bearing in the supercharger started growling and the alternator went out and the whell bearing started growling. So yea i have some work cut out for myself. I have the engine torn down waiting for the supercharger to get here. While i wait i am changing the water pump and anything else that might go ouit in the near future. I figure if i have it torn down this far i might as well do all i can at this point. I have already gotten useful info from this site thanks

Welcome. While you're waiting for your supercharger, you may as well swap out the lower intake manifold gasket. Read over this techinfo article. The information on the upper won't apply to you - but the lower does.

yea i do but they are ll of her in the garage with the engine torn apart :( hopefully by wednesday i will have it out and will take some pics.

You, sir, have the wrong grille. That is an SE grille from a 92-95. Your grille should look like this...

I wonder, what with the clear corners, whether that is someone'* "modification", or if they got the grille broken and couldn't find the right one to replace it...
