Hello from new member
Hi all, my name is Tony and I just bought a well cared for 1992 Bonneville SSE (Dark Green with matching rims) with 94k from the original owner for $2200. I am very happy with my purchase. My wifes 89 bonneville was totalled 2 days ago in front of my house by a guy who fell asleep at the wheel. She was heartbroken...the car had 130k on it and was extremely reliable. I gave her my trusty 89 police special caprice with 180k on it and she loves driving that tank. My caprice has always been an extremely reliable car I just really wanted a bonneville after driving hers. All she does is drive to the train station with it anyway. How ironic that the day before her car was totalled I had given the caprice to my friend/mechanic as a gift for all the work he put into it. I called him the next morning and explained the situation and he gave me the car back with a smile. Thank God the guy who plowed my wifes car was not injured...her car probably saved his life as he was moving at a good clip having pushed my wifes car up onto the curb. Had her car not been there he would have run into my neighbors house or a telephone pole. Ok...no more chit chat from me. I hope everyone is doing well. OK.. one more thing...my 92 bonnie would randomly not start so my mechanic had to dismantle my dash and disable the security system. Took him 3 hours and a few scraped knuckles but we are still friends. I also ride motorcycles and own a beautiful 1979 Yamaha xs1100 Special that I ride as often as I can.

Welcome to the club Tony, I'm sure you'll find a lot of good info about your new 92. Bad news regarding the 89. I'm partial to them, so I can understand your disappointment. Have fun with the 92!!!

Tony! Welcome to the Forum! Send Deathrat a PM about your car. 92 was the only year they came without an EGR valve, and that opens up a few potential problems.
