Well then I'm stumped again. Can the cam/crank shaft sensors die at the drop of a hat? I'm getting spark, and getting fuel, I cannot pressure test it cause i cant run it to fill the coolant up all the way. I cant tell if its sparking at the wrong times, not sparking in the engine, but its flooding and not starting. My uncle said a sensor should be like whoa its not happening, no more gas for you, but it isn't. So every time we try to start it, it floods. Seems us turning the crankshaft manually isn't the issue, so my next assumption would be the crankshaft sensor isnt working right and telling it when to fire properly. We got a OBDII reader, the plugs look the same even thought OBDII is for 96 and up (shrugs). I guess I will see tonight. I'm just trying to stock pile an idea or two before then.

Make sure all your plug wires are in the right place. But even then it should kick. Almost sounds like your pumping to much fuel. Then it can't burn. Hmm, check the TPS. Try starting it with the peddle floored. That should shut off the injectors.

Dan, sorry but what it the TPS. We have checked the plugs, and all is where it should be as per 2 separate diagrams. We have tried to spark it floored numerous times. We may get a little poof and some air blow back through the air filter.

Well yesterday my kid broke his leg. Spiral fracture, both lower leg bones. He is in a cast toe to crotch now. So needless to say i didn't get to my car. We now have a OBD 1 reader cause my car is too old for the OBDII. I don't even wanna know how much cash iv sunk into new tools, parts and gaskets for this car. Hopefully this new reader will shed some light on whatever this cars problem is tonight. Sigh

Hey thanks Todd. It was a serious downer. He went on a school trip skiing. Didn't go over so well heh. Yea if this OBD can put the issue into plain English and get that car back on the road, I would be super happy. I haven't had a car since Dec 15th. Some guy kindly wrote off my metro with an illegal turn, then i got screwed by insurance. I found this bonne in great shape for 1300$ with about 110,000k on its 2nd engine. Then it promptly broke down. I think I am going to name her Jinx ha-ha

I'm sure he will Dan. He is a tough kid (when his mother isn't around). She turns him into a giant baby! Since it'* a long weekend I'm hoping i can squeeze some car time in, especially since the 4 door will be nice for hauling crippled children around. Thanks for the well wishes man!
