Did the kit come with instructions? Not sure on the color of O rings.

No instructions sadly, but it appears to be the same LIM in the little faq tutorial you linked me to. 1 black and 2 red O rings were in this kit, but not the GM one. We cant tell if they replace the O rings on the i believe its the water pump. Or if they go somewhere internally. We are just cleaning that back head and getting it ready, and tomorrow we will need to know where the O rings go.

I'm not sure if your non supercharged LIM is the same, but there may be 2 holes in the top of the LIM on the throttle body side. Ok, this should help. I circled them in red

If you didn't put O rings there then that is where the coolant is getting in to your cylinders.

What are the odds that those o rings are put in just in case you have the super charger, but not necessary on the non SC model. I told them at GM that we didn't have the SC one, and maybe that'* why the o rings were omitted? I looked through my pictures on my phone, and i don't have one featuring the top of the intake without the plenum on it.

Ok, I did look around a bit and they are different. Is this what you have?

Did you check the O rings on the coolant elbows? Wish I could help more, I'm just not as knowledgeable in this area.

I am heading home to start working on the car again. That gasket looks like the plenum gasket, but iv mostly seen it seated into the part, so I will need a closer look. I will grab the digi and see about taking some part pictures. I should have been more on it the 1st time, but i sadly wasn't. I'm thinking those O rings may be only for the SC versions though. If your around in an hour or so peek back, i should have them up by then.
Thx for the help man!

Sorry I didn't get pictures up last night was a tense night for car work. We got a socket that measures degrees turned, and a few other little wish we would have had before tools. We also have a pressure tester now (that we should have used before to save me that little episode I had). Heads and intake are on now, got a new plenum gasket and a bunch of other crap too. Tonight we should be able to pressure this pig up and see if she is ready to behave. I sure hope so, cause mom is giving me and dad the "why didn't you just take it in look" HaHaHa.
Gotta love wanna be mechanics huh
