Another new Canadian
Just wanted to say hi to everyone on this really great looking site. I just became the proud owner of a one owner, meticulously maintained, 95 Olds 98, with 122k km (70K+ miles). Seems the C body is the bastard child of the H body family. Everyone seems to know about them, but no one seems to talk about them much.
Anyhow, this beast is in amazingly good condition. Only rust is above the rear wheel lip, where it looks like water has gotten under the paint. That will be looked after shortly. The back struts need to be done. Nice shimmy to the front brakes, although the material thickness seems to be fine. Tranny fluid change (been done 3 times before in its life) is due up next. Gonna try some Valvoline Max Life. Mobil One is gonna go into the engine. Gonna try to do some suspension upgrades as I go. Gonna try to make it handle like a Bonneville, if I can.
Anyhow, am looking forward to many happy hours here. Looks like a great place to hang around!
Erik

Thanks for the welcome, guys!
I was afraid the Canadian quota might be an issue, but I appreciate the admins making an exception in my case.
I live smack dab in the middle of the great metropolis of Toronto. I run down to Erie, PA on a regular basis also, so if there are any get togethers, etc in the area, I will be there.
That is, if it is ok for a 98 owner to hang with you Bonneville guys!
Thanks again
