Im here to help bud, the supercharger alobe selld for $600 on ebay, your already $400 away from the green. If you do buy it and part it our I would be interested in buying the supercharger from you. But in all honesty getting the car and fixing it up is the best option. This is a great way to start down the road of do it yourself repairs on your vehicles. You wont believe how much money you will save by doing vehicle repairs on your own then having a mechanic take your wallet from you. They charge $200 to do break pads. The break pads cost maybe $50 and changing them out by yourself takes about 30 minutes. Slowly start building up you tool inventory and the tools will pay for themselves by how much you save from staying away from a mechanics shop. Take Care man and do whatever your gut tells you because 99.9% of the time its the right choice.

By the way, bonnevilles do hold their value escpecially if they have a 3800 engine in them. I recently sold one of my Bonneville'* ( I owned 4 at once). My 1992 SE had 213,000 miles on it and the front fairing was cracked, the A/C was not working and I still got $1200 for it. a 19 year old car!! The 3800 engines are very reliable, very wanted, and you have an option for a 2001 for $1000, SSEi on top of that, personally I think its a great deal.
