Question, its still related since shuddering is still noticable but not like before. ok so trans shop that installed my transmission didnt have equipment to flash my truck, before that was mentioned he stated if we flash your truck all your settings you made with your tuner will be erased and you might have to pay to unlock your tuner since you didnt get to set it back to stock. I told him just do it, then i get a call i need to take it to the dealership. Paid dealership to flash my truck tonight i connected my tuner and all my settings were still there. wtf did they just flash the TCM and not the ECM/ECU? so i selected tow mode tonight and drove it around about 5 minutes and didnt feel anything. In addittion i removed catch can and K&N intake and went back to stock. Tomorrow we shall see if the curse has been lifted.

Update, towed a 16ft trailer with rzr like UTV 3hrs one way and 3 hrs back. damn shutter is gone. thought towing would make it reappear and seems like it didnt. so what gives? i put stock intake back in, removed my oil catch can and connected my superchips tuner to set to tow, and now its flippin gone. i left the clean air return that lets oil vapors/mist go into the engine instead of thru the intake.

I'd say if you really want to know, add each thing you removed one at a time then drive a lot until your problem returns. If you do that, let us know. In the meantime it seems you have a spare transmission to CL or Ebay to recoup some of your money. Maybe one of your long drives can be to deliver it.

lol ok problem is back and i have centralized the issue. Its been driving flawless without adding anything to it. might have been ok after the return home from dealership which was same evening i removed those items.
I drove my truck up to washington last week everything was fine, i pulled into a buddies driveway that was a bit muddy and with gravel the wrong way, i tried to backout and rear tires started to slipped so i put it in 4hi, got out fine, put back in to 2wd. we went fishing then on my drive back home the damn shuttering began. UGH! its so annoying. Called dealership and told them what happened and dude said yup sounds like tcase motor controller not retrieving back fully to 2wd. so wednesday it goes back to the dealership.

Been at dealership since last week wednesday, epxlained what they did last time to fix it. This time advisor said tech mentioned it went back to normal and hes trying to recreate the issue. The controller motor thing seems to be the issue. Anyone else had this problem?

Too bad we didn't do the wheels-off-ground tests I mentioned earlier. If we saw the front drive shaft moving when it shouldn't then there would be some confirmation of this being the problem. If the dealership reproduces the issue I suggest they do this.

ok so truck is ready. advosir said "it fixed itself" that maybe the cold temps actuated the 4x4 to engage and caused the front drive shaft to vibrate. that theres a software update to tcm that enables 4x4 if it detects cold temps. wow..... i've never been fed this amount of bs, i initiated a case with a lemon law firm here in CA. sent all documents hoping to get some kind of resolution this is ridiculous.

I was just having fun. It totally sounds like BS and I'd go after them too.
