Need some advice on buying a 95 gmc Sierra
I wanna buy a guys gmc on Craigslist but need some advice the truck is a 95 has 150000 miles, leather seats, very little rust from what I could see from
The pics, everything sounds kosher but the guy that owns it said he bought it from a 60 year old man that took good care of it he did a tranny fluid change at 90000 now he said he added some Lucas transmission treatment to help extend the life of the tranny should I be worried or??? Im gonna take a loan out but I wanna make sure I'm making the right decision

I think he may have put the trans treatment in it to keep it from slipping.

If i was able to get it at the right price i would go for it. If the tranny does go bad it easily replaced at least for me it is. If it was cheap enough it would be worth it.

You may be looking at replacing the trans, possibly the engine. It most likely will need new fuel lines and brake lines if the truck spent time in the north. The fuel pump and alternators are easy to replace, but go often in the model truck.
You may consider spending time finding a truck that has been owned by someone for quite a few years, preferably a one owner. I sense the Lucas comment is just one of many unspoken issues to be discovered on this truck.
IMHO- never buy a vehicle from a flipper on Craigslist.

It looks like a nice truck, the brake lines don't look like they would be rusted or fuel likens its a clean lookin truck, he said the guy put the Lucas tranny additive in it for preventive maintnence but I don't understand why anyone would add this if the tranny is good, idk maybe I'll keep lookin, it sucks cause this was a nice lookin truck, has the leather seats, power seats, sikkens paint I believe
Very little rust, I usually deal on Craigslist cause dealers are way to expensive and you get about the same stuff

I love used cars and have found Craiglist the "mother load" of very bad sellers, often guys that make a living selling crap cars and claiming they are the owner, when in fact they are not on the title. Not being on the title is a very big thing to check for. If the seller is not on the title, huge red flag.
