HVAC Doors

I tried to upload a video but it kept telling me I had an invalid file. and I reduced it'* size and tried different formats.
tonight I tried again. put different ones in and still the same thing, only now the defrost is going to one end and then won't move.
The temp sensors that are in all the ducts are all out and I'm gonna put them back in and see if it helps, but I was having all these problems before when they were in.
the actuators share connections. so there are splices and I'm going to check them tomorrow.
There is also the chance I have 2 bad HVAC control modules.

Here are the diagrams for the HVAC if that helps . I'm gonna hook up my scan tool tomorrow also. I'll let you know what I find.

FWIW I have had no trouble uploading .MP4 files. Not sure if that'* a format you've tried.

I tried MP4 and 3 others. don't know what'* up. didn't work.
I'm positive it'* not the doors. The problem is the actuators go to far because the resistance is not right and the computer doesn't know what to make of it and stops it from moving. I put my scan tool on and commanded it to move one and it just sat there! The scan tool also said it was commanded at something like 145 and the actual position was 20. The scale is 0-255. I think the only way to fix them is to take them apart and reset the potentiometer . but I already did this and it didn't work.
worked on it again tonight. these are some sensitive actuators. I put my volt meter on it and a 0-5v power supply to move the shaft while reading the voltage.
and then I was reading the ohms as the act. was moving but I couldn't get them right. I know it sounds easy but it'* not.
so then I tried resetting the control module so they would relearn and 2 out of 3 were right and worked. so I thought, OK I'll reset again and see what happens, then only 1 would work.
I think I need to take them out and do this on my bench so I can be more accurate.
back at it tomorrow.

Weird on the video uploads.
Looking forward to your results on the actuators.

Here'* where I'm at. The blend actuator was on max cold and wouldn't move so I left it plugged in. The defrost actuator kept setting so air would only blow out the defrost, and I can't reach it with the dash in, so I moved to where air would blow out the vents and I unplugged it. But I had a spare connector from the junkyard with long leads on it. So I plugged it into the defrost actuator and taped up the wires. This winter I may be able to put 12 and 5 volts on the wires and move it to defrost.
the mode actuator was working.
I put everything back together. here'* where it gets weird.
First time I drove it, HVAC module set on 61 degrees, A/C on. It blew hot air for about 10 min then it blew cold, but only for about a min. then blew hot for the next 10 min until I got home. Next time I drove it, 5 min hot then turned cold and stayed that way. Drove it 3 other days and it blows cold every time. I have control over the blower but ain't gonna touch anything else for a while.
I don't know if it was learning and resetting or what. But I have A/C
Also, I did take apart the connectors on the HVAC module and reset all the pins to fit tight before I put the dash back in.
Come cold weather I'll see if the heat will come on. If I learn anything more I will let you know.
