GMC recall
Hi guys and gals new to the forumn. I just recently had my 14 Sierra (80,000 miles) in for an oil leak. To make things worse while in the shop they noticed a leak from the transmission oil cooling line. After doing some research I found that there was a recall for the very same part that was leaking. Apparently it can drip onto the engine causing a fire. After putting my Vin in I found that there was no recall for my my vehicle in reference to that particular recall. This rcall
was first sent out in 2014 so that shkuld
have been plenty of time to include more vehicles. Is there any way I can still be reimbursed for the parts and labor, or is it really just a coincidence and I’m screwed?? Has anyone else experienced this situation? Thanks for any help!

Have the recall # handy and give customer care a call. Explain the situation of your required repair and ask nicely for it to be covered under the recall for a refund.

Soft Ride, GM is pretty strict these days about recalls.....from what I have read,, not many vehicles were involved in this, and if your VIN is not one of those vehicles, I doubt anything can be done......
His only hope is, if he is the original owner, a GM shop has records of regular maintenance, and the shop'* SM, can then go to bat for him.......but outside of that, he has little chance....
