GMC AT4 Peeling Grill
Hi All,
If you have a 2018-2021 AT4 you'll probably notice that the dark tint on your chrome grill is peeling off. Every single person I've talked with has had this same problem. This also includes the fog light bezels and is covered under your bumper to bumper warranty. Make sure to look at this before your warranty expires. I've heard that the replacement grill is from another manufacturer and should hold up better. If your dealership refuses to replace it call the GM Customer Service number and insist that these items be replaced.

GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 from what I can see in your profile.
Thanks for the advice! I hope a bunch of folks find it useful.

You're welcome. So many people on other forums were told it'* not covered but the majority had the defective grill and foglight bezels replaced. So sick of GM building $80k vehicles with crappy materials and then not treating its customers well.

Thinking about this makes me want to do math:
Let'* say 1,000 customers have this problem with their Sierra AT4. Through whatever practices, GM is able to avoid 950 repairs. That means they paid for 50 repairs. Let'* say each repair costs GM $250.00 for parts/labor/etc. In this example, GM would have avoided $237,500.00 of liability and spent $4,950.00 on repairs.
Now let'* say these practices made 2% of the 950 decide to look elsewhere for their next GM pickup, that'* 19 people. That'* about $17,000.00 of potential profit per vehicle lost times 19, so $323,000.00 lost profit per 1,000 vehicles.
So their current way of doing things costs them $327,950.00 per 1,000 vehicles sold in order to save $237,500.00 in repair liabilities, and opportunities lost to upsell services and/or next-car/additional-car sales.
Right?
