Regarding the rental car, I would get in writing that they will reimburse for a rental car and any dollar limits.
Regarding the lack of responsiveness, I would be calling them daily, or more-likely showing up at the dealership daily.
Do you have a lawyer involved yet?
It has been 31 days since the 2024 broke down.
Have they figured out what is wrong with it?
Have they offered you a loaner car?
Has there been any progress on the buy back?

Thank you CathedralCub, I am grateful to your unwavering support and guidance..
Yes, for the rental, but it I cannot pay afford it, particularly in the absence of a set rental duration.
Someone other mentioned in another chat that he had been waiting for them to reimburse him for his two months' worth of rent ($5,000), and that he was still waiting.
I have been calling and emailing almost daily.
Yes, for the lawyer, advising in the back though.
the 2024 broke in January 13, over 3 months. they never come back to me about anything regarding it, as we are pursuing a repurchase now.
The buyback still processing! according to them.
Thanks,

That'* an amazing level of ineptitude on their part. Sorry you're having to go through all of this.

I'm surprised the dealer hasn't provided a loaner as ours would have. Have you been in contact with the zone rep yourself? If it were me, I'd be barking up the food chain as high as I need to go to resolve the issue. I hate to hear things like this and feel for you. Hope it will end soon in your favor.

I agree. For me it would have been a daily visit or at least a daily call. It would get to the point that the sales guys would either know who I am and greet me every time or know who I am and avoid me every time.
"So, what tasks have been performed related to my situation? What is the ETA of completion?"
After weeks of this, I might have been tempted to buy a worn out box van and park it legally every day in front of their main entrance (on the public road of course) with a 10-word summary of my situation slathered on its sides. Take it home every night so as to not have it claimed to be abandoned.
Seems ridiculous, but this situation is ridiculous.

When GM made the decision to buy it back, the dealer declared, "This is between me and GM." When we were going through the replacement procedure, they were lending me a loaner, but it appears that I am no longer a potential customer.

In reality, the dealer has no involvement in this. It was the GM Executive Resolution Team in the beginning. After then, the GM Repurchase team receives it.
The dealer is not involved in any way with this repurchase procedure; they acted merely as a proxy for the replacement vehicle.

If the dealership has told you to be in contact with someone else, then that someone else is who should take your questions and get you your answers . . . and you should keep the dealership up to date on progress in case they need to be brought back in again.
If any of them are not being responsive, then time to go legal and add to the legal fees to the recovery.
My $0.02 .
I'd still bug them daily unless my lawyer says to cut it out. For $2,000/mo with no vehicle and no end in sight, some large of cage-rattling is in order.
At the very least, they should be able to tell you what the vehicle is doing right now, and what they've learned from their diagnostic process so far.

We are putting pressure on them using legal means.
There were no communications regarding what is wrong with that 2024 truck. I also wouldn't care at this point about it..
we just want our refund and get out of this difficult situation. Trying to get a reliable vehicle. Thanks
