Default 2008 Acadia Intake Manifold Re-installation

I noted this but didn't really pay VERY CLOSE attention to the exact angle and the location of the bolts as I pulled it apart. But removal wasn't too bad. The re-installation of the manifold was bear! I had new gasket to go back on but booger'd that up a little with 'sharp' edge of the manifold trying to get the back 2 bolts back in line with the holes. I DID finally get is in and cinched down after about 45 minutes of trying to find the angle but at that time I was just glad to get it back together with out any damage other the the gasket being a little 'dug in to' with the edge of the manifold. Below is what I THINK I did to get it back together, what I'm looking for a someones explanation to put it back together with more ease that what I describe below.
1. Put gasket on top of lower intake manifold
2. Put the upper intake manifold on top the lower intake manifold
3. Grab the 2 bolt and with the upper intake manifold tilted at angle to you, put in both bolts
4. before trying to lay the mainfold down flat, push up the 2 rear bolts so they are sticking up the top of the upper intake manifold (this requires you to be reaching under each side of the manifold, left and right, to hold the bolts up with each hand)
5. Here is where I ran into problems, the firewall just above and behind where the 2 bolts go is RIGHT in the way to properly and 'easily' but to line up the holes is like a chinese jigsaw puzzle while holding the manifold and and letting down the bolts hit the firewall that is just above and behind the bolts (in the way) with the manifold tilted forward and your holding it with.

After 45 minutes to an hour of fighting with this manifold, you get bet I was pretty irritated by the way GMC configured this. Hehehe

So, sorry I don't have pictures to show now but I believe, I'll have some soon as I'll be changing the the Coil Boots and Tuning Valve trying to find a idle issue where the idle RPMs drop occasionally but not stalling the engine 100%. Which this will be a different thread.

If you reply, can you please be VERY specific on how to do this if you know of a better way. I'm always looking to learn something new . Next time I work on this I will have pictures.
Thanks in advance guys.
Hi,, did you ever find another way to re install the intake, Im having the same problem right now, but Im prolly not that good with the tools or whatsoever cause I haven't had luck at all trying to just till it to put the rear screws. Whenever I try to do that the screws get stuck on the edge of the gasket and any attempt to move either the intake or the gasket will bend the gasket. I think the only option is to use an extra pair of hands to tilt up the gasket to make the holes match with the screws tips and them push the whole thing down, the problem with that is that theres no room at all to get an additional person on it.

It looks like Tazzin hasn't been back to the site in over three years. When I've been to the back side of my Lambda, I kept the intake on just to avoid extra drama. I know that doesn't help here.

Are you looking around back there with a mirror or scope?
