2004 Silverado fuel leak
So, I have a fuel leak. A big one. Found out which line it is, now just need to figure out how to fix it.
Here are some pictures.
It'* the smallest line closest to the underside of the body. So, top left/the one that'* wet. Anyway, it'* under pressure. I confirmed that by turning the key to "ON" and fuel started spraying everywhere. This is why I need help. How do I get this line off? Does it just pull off? Clamps that I can't see? Anybody know?
It'* got a full tank. I don't wanna pull this line to replace it and have 30 gallons worth of fuel coming at me.

I hate those quick-connect line connectors. Do you see like a locking tab of some sort below the connector? If you have a pair of needle nose you can pinch the tabs and pull the connector right off. You will have some fuel come out. How much, it depends on if it siphons off the tank or if its just residue in the line. Hopefully a couple new o-rings can fix this.

So its not leaking at the connector but up the line further where you think something chewed on it? If so, cut the line where its chewed through, insert a barbed coupler with 2 fuel line clamps.

i dont think you can just use clamps, there is a barbed connector for that but you have to put each end of the hose in hot water for a while i dont think i needed anything for clamps.

If its the main feed line, then clamps will be needed. If its the return line, you could get away without them.
This is the coupler I am talking about.
It doesn't have to be brass. The plastic kind will also work. Should be able to find them at Autozone, Lowes, Home Depot etc.
