2003 gmc envoy sle no crank, no start. HELP
Alright so i bought the vehicle off of a friend of mine. He claimed he didnt want it anymore because he didnt know how to fix it. When i put in the key, all the lights would show and everything works except for when i turn the key to start it...nothing happens. No clicks, no start, no crank. The lights black out when doing so as well and come back on when the key turns back. So i did what i could with the amount of knowledge i have on these types of things. First off, i checked the starter as one would. Bench tested it and the starter was fine. Next i checked the fuses and relays and they were all fine. So my next thing was maybe its the ignition switch, so i changed that and still the same problem. I talked to some of my guys at work and one of them said that it could be the "neutral safety switch", so i changed that as well and with hope, i went to put the key in, turned to start it and...nothing again. So im all out of ideas. I know the grounding is good and i know the battery is good as well. I hooked up a seperate wire to the signal post on the starter while it was on the block and cranked it directly from the battery while the key was in the "on" position. But it quickly died back out. Somebody please tell me im not losing my mind and that i wont have to spend a fortune to fix this.

Wait . . . how do we know the battery is good?
While I'm here, have you checked that the battery connections are tight and clean?
Have you checked for starter signal at the starter when the ignition switch is turned?

yes, i even changed the terminals and made sure the connections were tight and clean. When i tested the starter signal wire, it goes out when trying to crank it but has power when resting in the "on" position.
