1999 gmc sonoma 4.3 bouncy gas gauge needle
99 sonoma with a bouncin all over the place gas gauge. i have tested the pump and everything appears to be a very strong pump. i ran techron through it(same as dealer sells) hoping that would help clear up the issue.
im not exactly sure if the sending unit on this one is replaceable or not. any ideas?

on obs fullsize trucks, i assume its similar as the sender seems similar, the bushing wears out and causes intermittent opens. also if you get the new delphi, module they give you a new harness design to splice in. those are for the bouncing thats slower and goes from real reading to overfull. if its really fast commonly called the butterfly they found the grease thats supposed to suppress the needle fluctuation leaked out. mine is doing that now but i dont care enough to fool with it you can see how much gas is in it
