Longer range electric car batteries are just around the corner, as GM Announces a new 30 football field sized building !
The last steel frame is now in place & 500,000 hours have been devoted to the development of the new facility.
Projected completion date will be sometime in 2022, with the need for up to 1100 new employees or more.

GM’* new Ultium batteries are unique because the cells can be stacked vertically or horizontally inside the battery pack.
This will allow GM to optimize battery energy storage and layout for each upcoming new vehicle design!

Wow, this will be cool.
I've done a bunch of work in Youngstown (about 15 miles away). It'* good to see some jobs show up in the area. They could use it.
