ok, so i call the dealler to find out of the recall has been done or will there be a sticker uner the hood (like my fiero'* recal decal)

if the recall has not been replaced, and it did damage the transmission, will they repair the transmission or just the line?

Yes, you call the dealer or buick customer service to see if the recall has been performed.

Well, it was the responsibility of the old owner to have the recall done and gm might argue with you about it......

Im sure if you pushed the issue you might be able to get something out of gm.

i figured it'd be chaeper and easier to just fix it myself, and it would have been if i could get the hood open,

however the hood release cable snapped halfway through the job. (durring the horrendus rain storm. i have only a few more things to do. i have to run the feel line to the new cooler, then secure the new lines, and top off the fluid. then i'm done.

hopefully it'll run better than before...

the cooler is actually an oem tranny cooler from an econoline van. it'* pretty good sized and aught to keep up with the 4t60e just fine...if i can get too it.

i miss the van'* lift off hood already.
