When one considers the size and speed of the Bonneville, the Bonneville can match or trump most modern age compact cars.
My car is paid off and it only cost me about 100-150 bucks a month to fuel it.
Oh yeah, it'* staying.

bonnevilles get just as good highway MPG as many of the newer cars advertised as fuel efficient... and i don't put many miles on. If i do get rid of it, it wont be because of fuel economy

The new Honda Accords only get 21/31 so the Bonnevilles look pretty good when you consider that.

i dont even have a bonneville (yet) but i will be getting one this summer, regardless of gas prices, especially since it gets better mileage than the blazer

I am only going through this life once and I have no intention on getting rid of my Bonneville for gas reasons only. When I decide to trade it in it will still be for a luxury car and not a rice burner.

If anything, a bonneville would be on my list of cars TO get when gas prices get insane. Don't think there is a car made that gives you more bang for the buck.
The truck, heh, well, the truck isn't going anywhere, but more likely, it'll just become the second car...and it'll have a car cover and only driven when necessary. Hopefully that'll be sooner than later
