well, seeing as your hood needs to be repainted anyways, the possability of the bra scratching the paint, or damaging the paint, is pretty negligable isn't it? If you don't plan on repainting the hood anytime soon, just go with the bra instead IMO. It would look better than the bubbling paint.

here is my opinion. Since it'll need a repaint, it'll look good til you get it done.
Also, if you are careful, and take off the bra and wash it and the hood regularly, you reduce the check of the paint scratching anyways. That'* what I did with the Lumina.
