I'd fabricate a switch to go where the old heated windshield switch would go since you could wire it up from the back. Also check the mounting of the Speaker amp as on two of my cars it had fallen down and was stuffed back up in there.

Also, since it is Ryan, Add two more Cigarette lighter ports to the bottom of the dash (late 90'* to early 00 blazers had some nice units) and pre-run 2-6 CB antenna wires for him so he can pick up every frequency on the planet and a few that are not.

Pre-mount the Neon tubes under the dash

mount a washer nozzle in the leading edge of the HUD so that when he washed the window it sprays him

Add a Monster Tach sized boost gauge and a microphone so we can hear him giggle when he hits boost.

I think that'* all

Thanks, badnit . I guess I'll go out and look at my manual showing the high-end dashes (and also get rid of the stupid banana in my post)

(edited -- oh, oh, I guess I started something. Let'* get back on track for Boosty and Badnit)

That'* the way they are on all cars. They're just stuffed in there.

I was gonna suggest the amp thing too. I finally got it to stay mounted as intended by removing the radio and tightening the snot out of the one nut that holds it in place. Glue was my next choice.

Sandrock already mentioned prewiring for additional guages. I guess if I were doing it, I'd be missing the voltmeter (unless you've done that already). A digital one tucked in on the lower right would be nice, and the voltage line is right there from the lighter socket (edited -- oops, that'* probably "on" all the time).

(BTW, how tricky is it to be cutting into the instrument board panel?)

The cluster...won't be getting cut by me.

For a volt gauge..I have one in the cluster since I have a seperate boost gauge.

How about some regular home outlets I know badnit has a laptop and being able to charge it as well as other devices would be convient. Maybe even a laptop mount of some sorts. and similar to sandrock'* idea about a KR light maybe do a similar thing with a radar detector so it could be concealed yet able to alert the driver

I'm going to stay on this planet and suggest checking all nuts, bolts, screws, brackets, etc. for tightness. Anything that could be a potential rattle - I hates rattles. I'd also look at wiring harnesses for places they might vibrate or rattle...install a zip tie here & there...

That'* what I'd do.
