Next to the airbox, right in front of the washer bottle. Lower left corner of pic. Mine is smooth rounded looking thing, completely enclosed. Picture shows flat top cover with bolt on top (there are two bolts, one not shown in picture). Could be an early production 97 using the 96 pcm cover! We just want you to make sure you know what is being offered. Having said that, it sounds like the 96 with the 4t60 is more reliable with an extra trans cooler, but 97 may shift a fraction quicker. Either way, sounds like a good deal.

Let'* see what the VIN comes back as. I'm sure it is possible that some '96 parts were used in early '97. Happy car searching.
