Is this considered the ECM Module or is it something else? Is the box (computer) that it came out of called the ECM or is it something else? Thanks.

I grabbed this from a 92 SSEI in the JY. Will this work in mine without problems if I ever had to replace or use it to troubleshoot someday?

92 and 93 EPROMs are not interchangable. I've tried a 93 in my 92. It would not start. The crank sensor and pulley number are different. I suspect the sensor rings on the pulley are different.

that piece is not replaced when you add a chip, for instance the JET chip, you remove that, plug the jet into its spot, then plug the stock eprom ontop..(piggy back) design

That is the Memory - Calibration chip known as Mem-Cal .... That type of chip was used from 88-93 3800.... What does that chip come from? It looks to be from a 92-93... I'd have to look at the book to confirm that tho..
Nevermind...Just saw the post.... Its a 92 SSEi chip... It will not work on the 93 L27
