Take any official stats with a bit of skepticism, they rarely reflect real world application.

7.4 seconds is just about right. With the torque management and all of that, and due to how difficult it is to get traction in a L67 car, I can't imagine it would be much quicker than that. Anything quicker than 7 flat seems pretty optimistic to me. With just a pulley it would make worlds of difference though.
That little calculator is pretty cool though...not extremely accurate though. For me it seems to read a little quick. According to my g-tech my STE runs 8.9 @ 80 in the 1/8 mile, and it says it would go 5.01s 0-60, whereas the Gtech said 5.33. It also says that the GTP, at 7.8 @ 94mph is 3.18s 0-60, and that seems a little quick, on street tires its about 4.5, I can't imagine it being 1.3 seconds quicker on slicks.
Nice find though, I've been looking for something like that.

They tested the LSS at 7.1 sec 0-60mph which seems right. However, the SSEi has sport shift, correct? I think 7.4 might be a little slow for the SSEi. BTW- my LSS has tons of options so the weight loss isn't there. I think that site is a little off on their numbers.

Maybe for the NA, but an SC.... should be more like 6.5s

Custom88, your 00 SSEi is significantly heavier than a 92-99 SSEi, and it has worse weight distribution. That'* why alot of our quick cars here have so much to overcome.
As a point of reference, my best 0-60 to date is 6.6 seconds. But I haven't run one in awhile.

But, an even bigger factor to consider, that car was definitely not stock -3.4" pulley, 180* t-stat drilled 2x1/8", Magnaflow muffler, disconnected front WSS'*, CAI, TR55 plugs, Taylor Spiro Pro 8MM wires, removed MAF sensor screen, 93 octane, topped with two bottles of NOS Race octane boost, lowered front tire pressure (forget exact pressure -would have been better 60' if I had kept it at 40 since I had been pulling consistant 2.23'* with 40 psi), and removed drivers headlight and lower portion of rear seat if I remember correctly.
I have a C&D article where a 1996 L67 SE was clocked in at 7.1 0-60, and something like 15.1 @ 91'ish for the 1/4.
With a good launch I could show a local GTP (CAI, - u-bend, mufflers) a good view of my tails. Both the GTP and my SSEi were fully optioned (except I didn't have Onstar, CD changer, or the Chromies -all which he had, but he still had better tires).

I agree, those numbers for the SSEi don't necessarily seem right. I find it hard to believe that the LSS is faster than the SSEi. What'* the gearing on the LSS, doesn't the SSEi have a better gearing ratio?
