Yeah I loved mine!

I foolishly thought it needed replaced because it had clicked over to 200k , needed those air shocks in the rear replaced, steering rack was getting loose and the AC had quit. Still had a STRONG 3800 and transmisson though. Didnt have spoked hubcaps, instead it was kind of a turbine design aluminuim wheel. The factory window sticker says it was "deep garnet red" I really miss it but its in used car lot land now :(

crzy, the preventive kit and common failure isn't the metal tube. It'* plastic erosion around the EGR inlet.

Check Bonneville Attitude for the kit, or just check in Vendor'* forum for details.

But how does it prevent erosion of the EGR inlet? In my opinion making an intake out of plastic was foolish from the get-go. I would think that it doesnt take an engineering degree to figure out that intakes get hot LOL

Nah, you got the goofy looking steering wheel radio controls, mine are cooler Ghetto Gold lace rims too, mine were body colored

My 91 SSE is by far the coolest car I have owned over the years. It has the floor shifter and that just adds to the sporty look. I have the cool radio/temp buttons on the steering wheel and it makes driving that much more fun. My bonneville is white but I haven't had any problems with her in the last 2 years I've owned her. She has won many a street race.

Yeah I am very partial to that body style also. Pending the Boss' approval (wife) thats what we are going to look for in the coming weeks. Pluses are: low insurance costs, low license tag costs, and simplicty. Minuses are : no HUD, no SSEi. Of course she might change her mind. Women always do LOL.

I just picked up a '93 SSEi at an auction for $325. It has it'* problems including needing an engine swap. But the engine only cost me another $325. I'm doing all the work myself and will have it done in a couple days from now.

My suggestion is hit the auctions in your area and see what you can come up with. The body on my car is excellent. Having air ride, power moon roof, power seats, leather interior, heads up display, electric in dash compass, a premium sound system and all the rest of the options on the supercharged 3800 series one car is definitely worth the money that I will have into it when all is said and done. We're talking less than $1000.
