Yes but upper intake will be less of an issue and you can control and possibly prevent failure in the future. Its possible that 2000+ is a valid option but the L67 of that vintage is too spendy

Just looking at all the options.

buy a used series 2 L67, pay the extra bling for a warrenty too. best bang for the buck, in my opinion

get a '88 SSE, they are the best looking IMO

So is mine. Having column shifts leaves lots of room on the floor for a nice custom console. And even though mine is just a lowly LE model I still managed steering wheel controls and the auto climate control. :P
