W Body Store lost a customer.
Whats with the W Body store having no phone number? This makes me very suspicious that they hide behind e mails. I want to buy from them but I'm now leaning towards ZZP. Any comments good or bad about them?

I didn't see ZZP'* rating listed. They are probably ....oh wait, it'* in their name "Z".
I've dealt with all the major 3800 vendors: ZZP, Intense and W body store.
W body store was known for very slow shipping and being tough to get communication with. They have improved a lot and are building their reputation up to a good vendor. Unfortunately BBB is not going to reflect that info because the only time someone contacts BBB is to complain.
ZZP: They've yet to count over 4 successfully when shipping to me. Order valve seals and you may get 11 or 14. Contacting them is still near impossible, problem with having a listed phone number is....they'd have to answer it. Email responses to customers are typically a couple of not very helpful words that require more emails to follow up. They sell cam install kits, but don't include cam lube to put in the cam. Things on their site go out of stock and they don't necessarily note when they'll return etc. My favorite common issue with them is if you order something and they don't "think" you need it with the other parts you ordered, they simply remove it from your order. No communication, no questions...you just don't get the part.
Intense: While they have diversified into other areas and more or less haven't aimed to develop anything new for the 3800, they are still selling the same 3800 parts they always have. Customer service was/is always good from my dealings with them. Shipping is about the same as any other 3800 vendor (too high IMO). They are willing to take the time to talk over your ideas, make suggestions and be a helpful vendor. Out of all the vendors, they are my vendor of choice.
In the end..know the product you want to buy and get it from the best vendor. Whether it'* a 3800 vendor or not. Do the research and find the best places with the best prices. I rarely find myself buying fromt the vendors unless it'* a cam or something specific.

I recently purchased a PCM, shift kit and rockers. I would recommend the W Body Store, I will be making a much larger order soon. Having a number adds overhead, fielding crackpot calls. The e-mail worked fine for me!!!

Wait, you registered today just so you could dig up a 3 year old thread? Almost seems like your part of the W-body store.

If you open Google and type in "W Body Store" in the search box this thread shows up on the first page. Most people will look at it even though it is old. I had a positive experiance with the W Body Store and though it would be good to post. That is why I joined. Yeah, I had a real problem with the theft deterrent system on my 05, the factory service manual had left out two important sentences. Use of the e-mail only drug out the issue, but I got it resolved. I could post this if someone wants. So far I have found the experiance on this site less than positive...having to explain myself. I work for Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon, not the W Body Store....
