Trust me, I'm working on it.
Frankly, it'* not in the budget even if the price is REALLY right at this time. The car is potentially for sale (had been on the market with no buyers, and I know why also), but we'll see what can be worked out depending on what it is.

In 1992-1993 if the vin is 1G2HX it will be an L for the 8th character...
ther only way you could have a Vin 1 for 92-93 is if it was attached to the 1G2HY or 1G2HZ

Well lets see here....
1 - 1 United States
2 - G General Motors
3 - 2 Pontiac
4 - H Bonneville
5 - X SE
6 - 5 4 Door Sedan
7 - 3 Manual Belts w/ Driver Bag
8 - 1? Uhh..right. Sure.
9 - Check Digit
10 - P 1993 MY
11 - 1 Assy location (Wentzville, MO)
Hmm. Well thats odd. Definitely need to see that vin number. definitely isn't possible, but it'd be really something if it was for real.
Edit: whooops, clicked reply before the 1 was already discussed

Got more info from Dad.
Keep in mind whe was asking $3000, then I got the above VIN. I had hoped for the best, but common sense and knowledge kept me under control.
Here'* the pics:
This is perhaps the most stripped-down bubblebutt white curse I've ever seen or heard of. Not even keyless, and add the bench cloth seat into the column shift (but give it credit for the power driver'* seat).
Long story short, this car books at about $1200. It was fun to dream though. I guess my SLE keeps the crown for the oddest oddball on the Forum for now. Dad will break the news to her.

At least it does look good for the age and mileage.
That thing is missing 3 things my old 95 SLE SC had:
H4U package
Vin 1 w/matching drivetrain
4-speaker AM/FM/Cass stereo WITH STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS.
