Very Interesting Day..
So I was on my way back from the gas station filling up the car.. I ended up at a red light and a random *** Civic pulled up next to me with one of the just stupid extra loud muffler.. Right when I was reaching for my stereo to turn it up a little bit, I hear him rev his engine a couple times next to me.. I cant help but look over at him with a big *** smirk.. Needless to say, the light turns to green and we gun it.. He is NO WHERE TO BE SEEN next to me, he is way behind me as I look in my rearview.. Then two cop cars lights go off, one of them grabs the Civic and the other comes to me.. Great, 2nd day with my car and I am getting a ticket.. The cop comes up to my window, asks for the usual (license and everything.) He just stands there for a minute and leans back down to my window.. His exact words, "Well, next time.. That guy better think twice then racing a SSEi with that bullshit ricer.." He just sends me off without any ticket or anything.. Never would of thought a cop would do that.. SSEi - 1 and Ricers - 0

We do not endorse, encourage or condone street racing in this forum. However; we do appreciate great stories of law enforcement officers doing their duty to make certain that justice is upheld during ricer season!

All of the ones I have ran into can be real jerks, it is good to see that they crackdown on the ricers rather then good guys..

I have a story but it'* not about my SSEI but my '64 GTO i used to have.
It had a 428 Tri-Power with Velocity Stacks sticking out of the hood 4-speed 3:70 Posi.
I left a Mr. Quick eating joint and and squelled my tires a little in low while turnning onto the street and going up a hill, shifted into second and the shifter linkage was hanging up and finally got it into seond and was getting a little mad at the linkage at the time so I stomped it and turned it loose in second and looked in the mirror for some reason and a city cop was a block behind me.He followed me a couple of blocks and pulled me over. Came up and checked me out and said Oh You Have Tri-Power on it! I said yea. he gave me a ticket for squelling tires. He said I could have let you go with a warning but when you opened it up in second I had to give you a ticket. This happened back in '73 or '74. Now for the Kicker in the story. I bought the Tri-Power off a friend of mine who bought this same city cop'* car back in '67 or '68 that was a '66 Pontiac Full-size 4 dr. 421 4-speed with this same Tri-Power!
