unbearable break squeal!

the driver'* side seems to be much worse than the passenger side. I might just take it to my mechanic (who charges extremely resonable) and have him just look at it. that is, if I can find the time. this is going to be a busy week. :(

Maybe metal between the rotar/pad :? (It has to be somthing to 'that' effect.. because on hard breaking it just locks up so there wouldnt be anymetal grinding on metal..)

Just don't try and go to the parts store and ask for goop to go between your pads and calipers, then again they may know what you are talking about.
I would try that first, it is quick cheap and simple to try.

looks like I"ll be taking my car in to get the brakes done for now on instead of doing my own brake "job." Didn't know there was that much involved in changing the pads. My question is, my pads are only a few months old, so what should I do exactly? Can I still use them? Will just using that brake "goop" stop the squeal? The rotors are fine, so do I need to just sand them down or something? When I changed the pads that'* all I did was change them and was done with it. Didn't turn rotors or anything like that..
