Interesting note, in 95 or 96, the TS **** was reversed from the earlier design.

I don't know, I'm just against the whole "increased automation" initiative the car industry seems to be going through right now. I hate it; if I'm stupid enough (no offense Jeanie , talking purely about myself ) to leave my lights on, or too retarded to turn them on in the first place, tough ****. I deserve whatever happens. I don't know, it just seems like more asinine crap to have problems with, not to mention such features have an uncanny knack for making me feel LESS in control of things than those techno-riffic cars already do. Call me old-fashioned, I don't know; some of the new technology is really cool, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the new automatics with a manual-shifting mode, as well as heads-up displays and the multiple-color dash light set-up on the new Mustangs, these being among all the other things I like. Those are cool features, and help the drivability and function of the cars. But some stuff is just going too far. I still remember this rental truck my dad got for our vacation one time. It was a 2000-something Ford Ranger (Ford: What could possibly go wrong? ). We got home after the trip, and he left the truck running and closed the door to run inside really quick for something before he brought it back. BIG mistake. The f***ing auto-lock feature the thing had to keep stupid people from falling out of their moving vehicles at 50 MPH locked him out, and the rental place wanted $50 for their locksmith to come out!!! Hehe, he just bent the door open ever so gently and jimmied it :P Good thing he'* such a good mechanic, or we would have had to pay the damn locksmith to compensate for the overzealous auto engineers (or executives, as the case may be) What a load of crap...
What ever happened to blissful simplicity and ease of use, singularity of purpose and vision and function? Cars for people who know cars and know how to drive them and use them and how NOT to drive them and how NOT to use them? Sheesh...

I use my twillight, just because most people the get in my car and get out of my car are amazed that the lights turn on and turn off
I also like that the lights stay on after you have left the car, giving you a security device and lighting your path when you park the car
more electronics the better (untill they dont work )

And who said a Gremlin? I said simple, not ugly
How about my good ol' Bonne SE, fixed, with a supercharger and a HUD? I love my plain cloth seats, normal air conditioning, normal lights (hehe :P), regular simple analog dash, etc. If only it was fixed, with less miles, with a supercharger and a HUD (those should have at least been an option on the SEs) it would be the perfect car. Oh well....
