Thank God it wasn't an option they sprung for on my car. Why make something as simple as turning your frigging headlights on and off such a f***ing complex, involved task? If you're too damn retarded to turn on your headlights when it gets dark out and other people are turning THEIR lights on, for God'* sake, or if you can't remember to turn them off when you get out of your car, then how good can you be at the other things that are essential for even a decent driver to master? Really, has our society become THAT unbelievably stupid? Some of the extra options offered on the Bonnes are cool (HUD, for one, although I've never driven a car with one, and a supercharger, of course ) but I'd give my left nut to not have Twilight Sentinel on a newer Bonnie, should I ever get one ( ). Please, someone, alert me to any possible benefit that could come from Twilight Sentinel when a sentient, non-simian driver is at the wheel. Sheesh...

I guess its just a convinience that the system will automatically turn it on or off pendin on how much light is out there.. I've seen people * I'm sure we all have sometime * when people didn't have their lights on when it'* a bad storm or dusk when it'* not pitch black, but dark enough to warrent the use of turning on your lights drive around with just their DRL. Heck.. even Tamara'* sister who just got her licence for less then 20 days as one of those that fits in that criteria. I'm sure we have also seen people before that didn't have it on during 9PM !!!!
I know it'* not safe and they shouldn't be driving on the road if they don't realize that your headlights should be on.. but I also think that if you can't even change a flat tire you shouldn't be on the road either. I understand your point of view, but enough could be said bout lots of things. If you can't see a 2 ton vehicle in bright daylight cause they don't have DRL.. you shouldn't be on the road either... again its just a convinience ( like automatic transmission ).. gettin off the soap box now.. thanx
Back on topic..

Kyle Kyle Kyle, chill out man.
My 94 has Twilight Sentinal and I turn my head lights on and off. You turn the **** far enough, and it clicks, turning the whole feature off. I like being in control of my head lights, but more so I don't like walking away from my car and having the headlights still being turned on. If you bonneville were to have it, you can still turn it off.

Yes it is defeatable. For the TS positions there'* Off, and then after off you're adjusting how long the automatic lights stay on after engine is shut off. It'* Nice to have luminating your path, but it also draws some attention.
My Mom'* camry for instance has them come on at night regardless. Unless there'* a control i missed.

I hate it when you go to a restaurant or wherever, and someone comes on the PA "There is a white Bonneville in the parking lot with it'* lights on." Or someone walking by says "Excuse me, but your lights are on." UGH! I hate that. I'm not stupid, I know my damn lights are on.. how can I miss that?
