Truck recommendations
I'm looking to buy a truck. I'm leaning toward a *-10 or something similar. I'm not sure if I want something full size or not. I almost want a 4 cyl with 4wd if I could get it. What trucks are reliable? What are people having good luck with? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think S10'* 4x4'* come with 4 cylinders. V6 only I believe.
2000+ S10'* are fairly decent trucks. Aside from fuel pump, ignition switch and gasket issues, they are pretty good trucks. They can be a tad difficult to work on because of the tight spaces like the #3 spark plug.
I'm not familiar with the POS Rangers, so can't comment.
Not sure if Toyota even makes a small one anymore besides the Nissan T1000. LOL. Or was it the Pup?

It has a 3.8 V6. The non-supercharged ones can get you around 30 while the supercharged ones get around 25 or so. It depends on what car its installed in. But they are all the same.

Tacoma is toyo'* mid-size p/u, the Tundra the full size one. I've always thought with a grain of salt that they were trying to Americanize their brand with those names. Tacoma a city in Washington and tundra a peat bog in Alaska. Tundras are assembled in Tx and with the love that Texans and Alaskans have for one another, how ironic is that?

Stay away form the Colorado and Canyon, they are junk and very uncomfortable to ride in. Go with the *-10 option if I were you. As mike mentioned the 4 cylinder option is not available in a 4wd. I have the 4.3 automatic in my truck, very min. problems with it and I still can pull my 16 ft trailer with it no problems. But fuel mileage isn't the best 18 at the most.

Tundras are also built in Indiana. A lot of Toyotas are built in the USA and Japan. The only one that is not is the Prius. That is only built in Japan.
