How much transmission fluid should be visible when removing black cap on top of the transmission? I have allowed the engine to warm up & moved through each position but still do not see any fluid?

Yes, I removed the black cap on top of the transmission to check the fluid level, but nothing shows. I allowed the engine to warm up then, shifted the selector through all the drive modes but still do not see any fluid.?

Does your tractor have a manual or is it your lawn mower.
Sorry but when you can't even answer a simple question like 'What we working on?' I quit asking.

Do you have a 9-speed automatic?
If so, that black cap is not for checking the level. There is a level check plug on the side of the transmission.
