I'm guessing the transmission on the 2001 SSEi that this topic talks about will need a transmission soon if its original.
Therfore that brings the price up to $10,000 after the trans rebuild which I'm geussing it will need soon.
Not jumping to conclusions here but a lot of people with higher miles 97+ SSEis with the exception of sonoma_zr2 and couple others DO or HAVE had transmission issues come up after 100,000 miles.

so i think im going to go drive this car this weekend and see how it is
