Traction Control is nice!
Our driveway is fairly steep and still snow covered (not much sun these past couple of days) and the traction control has worked perfectly. Its very seamless and does its thing and then deactivates. I'm sure there are situations where you don't want it, but its very nice.
A cool tool to have in the winter time!

Agreed. I like it too. Its come in handy on many occasions. ABS too. Its nice to go from a car that had none of that to a car that has all of that

traction control is REALLY nice in the winter when its all slick. Helps the life of the transmission alot too. If you dont believe me, turn it off the next time and try to accelerate from a dead stop, you will feel the car jerk forward when the tires catch, over time it'll wear down the tranny.

I had to shut mine off in a storm the other night in order to get up a hill. I was just sitting there giving it gas and nothing was happening.....like the wheels weren't turning at all.
I finally shut off the traction control and did the spin the wheels and creep routine.....which got me up the hill.
I haven't had this SSEi very long.....does that sound normal?

On older models it uses applied braking. So if you're having problems with a bogging engine, that'* one reason why. My roomate'* 01 Cavi will bog down to no end on ice from a start.

My 94 bonnie has the traction control but my 91 doesn't and I wish it did. It definately comes in handy. Maybe if I ever upgrade bonnies I will get one with it. That might be a while because I really enjoy driving my car. I love to watch heads turn as I drive by. What a rush
