You strange guys and your dog-gone Wednesdays off. What ever happened to normal weekends off like the rest of us corporate peons (sheep)?

...oh no....I mentioned sheep again...

I am SO hoping it will be making the meet...if not, there is always my Maxx...and as Don will tell you, it ain't no slouch, esp. with the new exhaust

Pat, I am wondering...you gots a steering column? My turnsiggy yoke croaked, and that is the only thing (other than trans concerns) that would keep this thing grounded.

Don---yuppers...and PLEASE remind me to bring the new intake system and the ELC pump.

Ok, time for an update....

The rest of the old motor came out without much of a hitch...discovered a trans mount needs to be replaced...no biggie there, as that can wait. So here is a semi-empty engine bay.

After some pressure washing, the trans casing came out pretty clean, but stupid me didn't take any pics of that Anyways, here is a pic of the new motor up in the air...

And here it is...sitting pretty after some persuasion

After we starting picking up for the night, we kinda got sidetracked...I *really* wanted to see if the CAI I bought off of ebay will work...and guess what ladies and gents....

Whoa, looking good! Very interesting intake. I'm not sure about all the 90* bends but I really like that STRAIGHT shot into the TB.

Thanks! Only drawback to using this setup is I have to do w/o the washer bottle. I will more than likely go with a bladder bag for washer fluid. Another drawback is that you have to do w/o the vapor cannister, something most states won't go for. But if I just keep the solenoid that controls the cannister in the computer system, the computer thinks all is well :P

When I ran my intake through the evap canister hole, I relocated the canister below the d/* headlight between the bumper and the side rad support. I re-routed the line from the gas tank to reach and got a longer line to go to the TB.

You could also try strapping it to the core support right in front of it'* normal location.
