Wont there be a lot of problems with dash cluster compatability? and where exactly is the engine harness and stuff located? is it deep inside the dash as well? or just in the engine bay?

I was talking to Randy the other night. Talk about the expectant father syndrome. He mentioned needing a lot of solder and heat shrink tubing.

Gumball, I be sure to do that. I work on a "one bolt, one beer" ratio so you can make sure I'm keeping up.

I can vouch for that one... we were averaging one cut in the secret project to one beer. Right up until Randy tried to slice his finger off. They I drank and he concentrated on not commiting suicide.

Randy, all I have to say, is good luck. You will have a long road ahead of you.. and you will be walking most of it.
The speedo and tach will be the WORST of your problems, not the easiest. Because instead of going through the WSS in the tranny, it goes through the PCM first.. which will be your greatest problem getting the right signal [I am betting the signals will vary]. However, your best bet may be to put the '97 guts in the '90 cluster, so the 90 cluster is what yous ee, but the 97 guts are what control it all.
