Now that my engine changeout is starting to come to a close, I am going to refocus my attention to the transmission. I was looking throughout the internet for internals when I ran across this little gem:

http://www.pontiacdragdays.com/Merch...smission%20Pan

Think it'* worth getting?

$200 is pretty steep for a tranny pan, but it is a pretty trick part.

My thoughts too...hell I could have someone weld a few fins onto a new pan (20ish bux I think) and should function the same way.

Yep, 200 is a bit steep. Goto the j/y and get a pan, modify to your hearts content and your out $40.

Make sure if you truely get some work done to it, it'* done by a good shop. You don't want the metal weakened, or tweaked because of questionable welding.

You also wouldn't wan't something that could possibly corrode or flake, granted it will be doused in oil, but that'* the last place to take chances in an engine IMO..

Yeah, just noticed it, but it isn't much cheaper from the looks of it...
