Why on earth would someone produce driving lights with that multi-hole pattern to decrease the total light output?

Surely, I'm not the only person that sees the problem here?
And don't call me shirley.

I'll grant you that they look different, but why reduce the total light output?

I would probably agree, but maybe it diffuses the light enough to look like it makes up for the reduction of light, or all those mirrored circles (thats what they look like to me) magnify the light to make up for it. Who knows........ would love to see them in place and on.

That'* a standard parabolic reflector design.

The 'mask' will reduce total light output by half.

Where did you buy them, and can you return them? The 'different' factor may not be worth the decrease in performance for you.

Bill not sure the answer to that question. I'm guessing those are more for looks, as it appears there'* also an angel eye ring around them too.

And what on earth are those second two items pictured? I can't figure it out.
